Sodo Oh No

This news just ruined my day. OK, writing a big check to the IRS this morning really ruined my day but learning that Sheets signed with the Brewers for 4 more years is the icing on the cake. You see I had little fantasy dreams of the Mariners using some of the newly freed up money available at the end of this year to go after a top end hurler like Sheets. He was the best of what was going to be on the free agent market this offseason. Now the Brewers (The Brewers of all teams!) locked him up for a very reasonable sum for the next 4 years.

Argh....at least the Sonics finally clinched the division. They outperformed my expectations by 200% this season. Congrats to them.
